Rochester Regional Health (RRH) announced that Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic (CSHC) has been honored for 100 years of membership in the American Hospital Association (AHA). The milestone reflects a century-long commitment to strengthening community healthcare and improving access to care.
AHA Recognition
AHA Regional Executive Michael Draine presented the award to CSHC President Michael Rulffes in recognition of the hospital’s continued leadership. “The American Hospital Association is proud to recognize Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic for 100 years of membership in the AHA and for their dedication to Wayne and Ontario counties,” Draine said. “We thank the leaders, caregivers, and other staff for their commitment to continuously meeting the changing health needs of the patients and communities they serve.”
Community-Centered Care
As a 262-bed hospital, Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic offers advanced services including ambulatory surgery, radiology, mental health care, and a wide range of specialty care. Through RRH’s integrated system, these services form a critical network that supports thousands of families across the region each year.
“Reaching 100 years with the American Hospital Association is a meaningful reflection of who we are and why we serve,” said President and COO Michael Rulffes. “Our history is rooted in caring for our neighbors, and today we continue that mission by expanding access, investing in innovation, and supporting the dedicated caregivers who make this work possible.”
A Legacy of Healing and Innovation
Originally built in 1972 to replace the historic Sanitarium Building, Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic continues to honor its roots in restorative healing while evolving to meet modern healthcare needs. The AHA recognition highlights the hospital’s commitment to innovation, caregiving excellence, and community partnership—values that continue to guide Rochester Regional Health today.
