City of Geneva Seeks Requests for Proposals for Former OEO Site

SHARE NOW

The city of Geneva has issued a request for proposals for the former OEO site on Exchange Street. Geneva Planning and Economic Development Director David West told us the city is taking a slightly different approach to developing the property.

We are looking for a developer to work with the City in a collaborative way,” said West on FLX Live on Finger Lakes News Radio. “So what we put out is a Request for Qualifications to choose a lead developer. Sometimes in a situation like this, a municipality would choose a project they would have a bunch of people submit, this is the project you’re going to do. In this case, I think with this site, its actually better to find a developer and then develop the project together.”

West said the location is ideal with plenty of street frontage and great views of Seneca Lake.
