A Canandaigua woman was arrested Tuesday for allegedly stabbing another person.
Collisteen Reaves is accused of stabbing a 60-year-old acquaintance of hers in the chest while he was visiting her Camelot Court apartment. The victim suffered a collapsed lung and was able to escape to a neighboring apartment. He was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight and is expected to survive.
The 66-year-old Reaves was charged with assault and was taken to Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
Investigators did not release a motive for the stabbing and said additional charges are pending.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
