On Saturday, Goodwill of the Finger Lakes will celebrate the grand opening of its new thrift store location at 328 Eastern Blvd. in Canandaigua. The location is Goodwill’s first store in Canandaigua and the second location in Ontario County.
Goodwill leadership and staff and will be joined by community officials and local dignitaries to commemorate the occasion and welcome shoppers to peruse the store’s assortment of quality apparel and household donations, resale merchandise, and seasonal warehouse goods. All purchases benefit Goodwill’s many community-based services and social enterprise programs that address critical needs within the region, including Goodwill Vision Enterprises, 211/LIFE LINE, and the Good Neighbor Program.
As the doors to the 10,000-square-foot store open to the general public, the first 100 shoppers will receive a $10 Goodwill gift card. Donations will also be accepted during the grand opening and during regular store hours, which are 9 a.m.- 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. on Sundays.
The Canandaigua location marks Goodwill’s tenth store in the region. Goodwill also operates thrift store locations in Victor near Eastview Mall and off Route 31 in Macedon.
