The Town of Canandaigua is encouraging residents with digital water meters to sign up for free leak and water usage notifications through the Eye On Water app.
The service allows users to track water consumption, receive early alerts about leaks or unusual spikes in use, and manage multiple properties from one dashboard. Town officials say the app can notify residents of possible issues 24 to 48 hours before the water department is alerted — especially helpful for seasonal homeowners and rental properties.
Residents who don’t yet have a digital meter won’t be able to access the service, but the town says it’s working to update all meters.
Enrollment is free at EyeOnWater.com/signup, and residents can contact the Town of Canandaigua Water Department at (585) 394-3300 or [email protected] for help getting started.
