Construction on the Saltonstall Street Bridge is scheduled to begin on Monday. The city says the construction is to perform some necessary structural maintenance with the bridge joints being repaired to ensure the safety and longevity of the bridge. The concrete wearing course will be replaced and spalling concrete will be repaired.
Work on the Saltonstall Street Bridge is contractually scheduled to last until August 9. The actual schedule may vary depending on weather conditions.
During construction, Saltonstall Street will be reduced to one-way traffic. The city’s contractor will be setting up signal lights to direct the flow of one-way traffic. The city warns there’ll likely be traffic delays due to the one-way traffic pattern.
