12:05 A.M. UPDATE:
A 19 year old man is expected to recover after being shot in the city of Geneva Saturday. Police were called to a home on North Genesee Street at around 5 p.m. and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim is a resident of the city of Geneva and was taken to Strong Memorial Hosptial and is listed in stable condition.
Investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

8:30 p.m. (4/14) UPDATE:
A teenage boy was shot at a Geneva home on North Genesee Street near Avenue E late Saturday afternoon. It’s still unclear if the boy was shot inside or outside the home. The boy was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.
Police blocked off the area near Club 86 for several hours and waited for a state police S.W.A.T. team to arrive.
Family members were asked to leave their upstairs apartment. The mother of the victim became upset with the police because they were keeping the family out of the apartment.
As of 8:30 pm, police were still collecting evidence from the street in front of the home.
There are no suspects in custody. Anyone with information is asked to call Geneva Police.

There is a heavy police presence on North Genesee Street in the city of Geneva. Geneva Police, the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police are all on scene at this time. Avenue E to Avenue D is closed at this time while police investigate.
