The New York State Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred early Thursday morning in the Town of Geneva.
Troopers say around 1:30 a.m., a man was found deceased in the southbound lane of Pre-Emption Road in Ontario County. Investigators believe the victim was struck by a vehicle that did not remain at the scene.
The Ontario County Coroner responded, and an autopsy is pending. The roadway has since reopened.
