Bloomfield Man Steals Millions from Investors

An Ontario County man has pled guilty to swindling investors out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

According to the US Attorney’s Office, 59-year-old Thomas Corsaro of Bloomfield defrauded eight investors by taking money they gave him to invest and depositing it in his personal bank accounts while acting as an investment advisor. In total, he received $1,712,469.32 from the investors and repaid $265,642.83 prior to the criminal investigation.

Corsaro is scheduled for sentencing in December and faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 dollar fine.
