Celebrating its 77th anniversary of the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life”, Seneca Falls again becomes the real Bedford Falls.
The weekend festivities begin Thursday with a ribbon cutting and a Community Winter Block Party on State Street, featuring a DJ, dancing, and treats like hot chocolate, chili, and tacos.
The Ruth Dakin Bailey Grand Marshal Award will be presented to the family of Menzo Case, as he is recognized for his profound impact on the community, like George Bailey in the film. The award, sponsored by Cari & Jeff Loop and the Kindness Trust Foundation, pays homage to Virginia Patton Moss, who played Ruth Dakin Bailey in the movie.
The winner of the Seneca Falls Lights Contest will also be revealed. The block party begins at 5pm Thursday night.
