A downtown Geneva restaurant has closed it’s doors.
Bella’s Sicilian Ristorante has closed after 7-years. Bella’s Steakhouse in Border City is still open and will accept gift cards from the Geneva restaurant.
The closing was announced on the Bella’s facebook page-
To our Bella’s Family –
For almost 7 years we have had the pleasure and moreover – the privilege of bringing “Sicily to Seneca” in our little spot in downtown Geneva on Seneca Street.
What started out as Tomas dream from a trip to Sicily, then morphed into a place where Richard wasn’t willing to let close because his kids loved hearing Tomas sing, so with Mike’s help, the three amigos started a journey that ultimately led to Bella’s Sicilian Ristorante. We never knew it would take off like it did, or last as long as it has.
Over the last several years, we weathered covid 19, we grew our business, hosted thousands and thousands of locals and tourists, and most importantly – we gave back with an open heart to our community. It was after all, all about Bellas Gives Back. In total, over $30,000 in support was given out – we could not be prouder of this accomplishment.
But…….. kids grow up, dreams can change, and the rigors of time and multiple jobs can wear on a body, or in this case bodies. Our lease is quickly coming to an end, and our building is on the market for sale. Every time we shook our magic 8 ball and asked, “is this the end?” it came back – “all signs point to yes”
So, Bella’s Sicilian has closed their doors for good.
We wanted to go out on a quiet, reserved note. No pomp, no hooplah, just with good memories of something we never thought would become the juggernaut is did, but whose time has come to let someone else use our space for their dream.
We have plans over the next few months to incorporate many of the things you loved about Bella’s Sicilian with our sister business down the road – Bella’s Seneca Lake Steakhouse. We will have a weekly Italian night, an expanded menu, and of course – singing and celebrating for all those special occasions! Just a short 3 minute drive down the road, we are able to accommodate more patrons, we have a larger and better equipped kitchen, and more longevity for success.
We hope you will continue to support Geneva’s restaurant and other small businesses, just as you’ve supported us over the years. The only way they survive, thrive, & grow is from your support.
All gift cards to Bella’s Sicilian will be honored at Bella’s Seneca Lake Steakhouse, and anyone with questions can reach us by email at [email protected]
Arrivederci!
