Arts organizations in Cayuga, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates Counties can now apply for funding through the 2026 State Community Regrants program administered by Auburn Public Theater.
Through the program, Auburn Public Theater will regrant $96,037 given to it by the New York State Council on the Arts to support volunteer community organizations and nonprofits with paid professional staff in the five aforementioned counties. This program replaces the program formerly known as Auburn Public Theater Regrants, which was utilized during the 2024 and 2025 funding cycles.
Applications are open now through March 8. Once applications are closed, a panel will meet to choose which awards will receive funding. The theater has planned a tentative awards ceremony for May.

In-person and online informational seminars are being planned with dates posted on the theater’s website. New applicants will need to attend a seminar. Recurring applicants are not required to; however, it is encouraged.
