A Canandaigua man accused of rape in 2022 has been arrested on three felony counts of witness tampering.
In addition to rape, Jeffery Kuney was also arrested in August of last year on felony charges of criminal sex act and criminal sale of a controlled substance. He was released on those charges after posting bail.
Now, the 45-year-old is accused of violating orders of protection issued to three witnesses against him in upcoming court proceedings. After receiving the latest complaints, State Police obtained arrest warrants and took Kuney into custody on Monday onboard his boat in Oneida Lake where he is living.
At last word, Kuney was awaiting arraignment on the three felonies and three misdemeanor charges of criminal contempt.
