The city of Geneva will mark the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks with a remembrance ceremony this morning at 10 a.m. at the Long Pier on Lakeshore Drive.
The event honors the victims and those who responded to the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center site, the Pentagon, and Shanksville, Pa. Fire and police departments, along with emergency medical services personnel, will take part in the ceremony.
In Auburn the public is invited to a wreath laying ceremony at 8:40 this morning on the South Lawn of Memorial City Hall. Following the brief ceremony the Old Wheeler Bell atop Memorial City Hall will then ring throughout the morning at the times of the attacks.
