Eleven non-profit organizations that serve Ontario County will share in more than $572,000 in grant funding to help improve the accessibility, availability, and quality of arts, cultural, and recreational facilities available to residents. The grants are funded by the Federal American Rescue Plan Act and were approved by the county’s Board of Supervisors.
In August, the County solicited grant applications ranging from $10,000 – $100,000 for projects that respond to the negative impacts of COVID-19, involve investment in the arts, cultural activities, or the creation or enhancement of active or passive recreational opportunities, and support the recovery and economic resilience and/or quality of life in Ontario County. A first round of awards was made in October and, with this round of funding, the County has now awarded over $1.9 million for arts, culture, and recreation.
