The “Road Diet” begins next week.
That’s when the state Department of Transportation plans to repave Routes 5&20 going east from Lake Street in Geneva, where the previous highway work ended, to the Seneca County line just past the entrance to the state park.
The plan calls for one lane eastbound and two lanes westbound.
The work is set to begin next Thursday.
Electronic signs warn motorists to “expect delays.” The work is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
