The New York Lottery says a $50,000 third-prize ticket for Saturday night’s Powerball drawing was sold in Wayne County.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Walmart Supercenter on Route 31 in Newark.
It’s the second big win in Wayne County in just over a week. For the September 6 drawing, a $100,000 Powerball ticket was sold at the Fastrac on Route 104 in Ontario.
The winner has one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
