33 Dogs Rescued from Ontario County Home

SHARE NOW

Two people are facing charges after 33 dogs were rescued from filthy conditions inside an Ontario County home.

Law enforcement executed a search warrant last week at a home on Routes 5 and 20 near Flint Road in Stanley that had no electricity. Investigators found dogs running loose or confined to rooms with little food or water, and floors covered in feces and urine. The ammonia smell was so strong that staff needed respirators and protective suits. 39-year-old Lynette Kornbau and 42-year-old Ralph Priest are each charged with 33 counts of animal cruelty and failure to provide food and water.

Kornbau and Priest were issued appearance tickets.

The dogs are now in the care of the Humane Society.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
