Ontario County Investigator Honored for Child Advocacy Work

An investigator with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office has been recognized for his commitment to protecting children and supporting families throughout the Finger Lakes region.

Investigator Tyler Brooks-Lambert was recently named the recipient of the 2026 Annual Multidisciplinary Team Community Award presented by the Child Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes.

The award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to the multidisciplinary approach used in child advocacy cases, bringing together law enforcement, child protective services, medical professionals, prosecutors, and victim advocates to support children and families.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Brooks-Lambert was honored for his compassion, professionalism, and commitment to serving some of the community’s most vulnerable members. Officials said his work exemplifies the highest standards of public service and reflects his dedication to protecting children while working collaboratively with partner agencies.

In addition to the community award, Brooks-Lambert received a New York State Senate Citation recognizing his outstanding efforts on behalf of children across the Finger Lakes region.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office congratulated Brooks-Lambert on the recognition, noting that the honors reflect the positive impact he makes through his work every day.
