The drunk driving case against a former Macedon Police Chief is closed.
Fabian Rivera pleaded guilty in Walworth Town Court to charges of driving while intoxicated stemming from incidents that happened last Fall. Rivera was arrested in November for driving drunk after being involved in an accident with his Town of Macedon patrol car. He was then given a ride by a sergeant to his home in Walworth when he proceeded to get into his own car and again drove while allegedly drunk. Rivera resigned from his job the next day.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported Rivera’s Blood Alcohol Content to be more than three times the legal limit at the time of his arrests.
After Rivera provided the court with proof of treatment for alcohol abuse he was fined, ordered to pay restitution for property damage, and issued a conditional discharge.
