Union Springs is looking to fill three vacancies on its village boards.
There are two openings for the Zoning Board of Appeals which handles such matters as zoning ordinances and land use variances. The Planning Board has one opening. That board mainly covers site plan reviews, special use permits, signage, and historical preservation.
Village staff told Finger Lakes News Radio these are volunteer positions and meetings are held as needed, normally no more than once a month.
The positions are open to any Union Springs resident who is at least 18 years old and a US citizen.
The deadline to apply is August 4th. Applications can be made by contacting Mayor Robert Thurston Jr at [email protected].
