A Thursday car versus bus crash in Cayuga County sent three people to Upstate Hospital.
According the sheriff’s office, Matthew Kleinmann of Genoa was travelling South on Indian Field Road when he failed to yield the right of way to the Southern Cayuga Central School bus heading West on Poplar Ridge Road in the Town of Venice. The intersection of the road where the accident occurred was shut down for a period of time to allow medical aid and an investigation by first responders.
No students were on the bus at the time of the crash; only driver Matthew Krebbs and an adult passenger were on board.
All three were taken to Upstate for treatment of their injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
