One area school district has outlined its process for selecting its next superintendent.
The Cato-Meridian Central School District Board of Education will conduct two rounds of confidential interviews with qualifying candidates. The board is also planning opportunities for stakeholder discussions with the final candidates. These are being scheduled for late winter or early spring.
Once two finalists are selected, each one will spend a day within the district to gain a better understanding of the district’s schools and engage with the school community.
Following the final interviews, the board will make its decision and offer the successful candidate the position. The district expects to announce the appointment in April 2025, with the appointee taking over the position in July.
Michael Hoose has been serving as interim superintendent after Dr Terry Ward stepped down as superintendent on January 4.
