The competition to design United Way of Cayuga County’s next logo for its annual Day of Caring has begun.
Students eight and up who either live in or go to school in the county can participate in the competition to design the logo that will be featured on shirts, social media, and promotional material for the 2024 Day of Caring event scheduled for August 1.
The organization states the winning design must support its mission:
“To improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community. The United Way of Cayuga County is committed to improving lives in our community by advancing the common good and addressing the underlying causes of problems. United Way is dedicated to community involvement and focused on creating long-lasting changes that will positively affect today, tomorrow, and generations to come.”
Once all submissions are in, Julisa Stone with the organization told Finger Lakes News Radio that United Way will share the designs on Facebook and through its newsletter where community members can then select their favorite. The winning student will receive a prize and a free shirt bearing their artwork.
The deadline to submit is May 20. A submission form can be downloaded and printed below.
