Residents of the Fleming Fire District will soon have a chance to vote on seven resolutions affecting the district.
The first is to increase the statutory spending limitation to $450,000 per year for the next 25 years, beginning with fiscal year 2024.
Resolutions two through four deal with purchasing three vehicles – a tanker, a rescue pumper, and a used ladder truck.
The final three resolutions propose the creation of capital reserve funds for the maintenance, improvement, replacement, and repair of the district’s buildings, vehicles, and equipment.
Voting will take place on Tuesday, September 5th, from 6:00-9:00p at the Fleming Town Hall.
Back in March, it was announced that The Fleming Town Board had voted to dissolve the Fleming Fire Protection District with the Fleming Fire District, a single entity composed of Fleming Fire Department No. 1 and Fleming Fire Co. 2., being formed in its stead, taking effect October 2nd.
