The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help as it investigates the suspicious death of a dog in Montezuma.
The office reports the animal’s body was discovered in garbage bags in the area of Fosterville and McDonald Roads in the town. The female dog appears to be a bulldog, possibly an English breed and is described as having a stocky build with short limbs and brown/black in color.
Deputies are attempting to locate the dog’s owner to determine how the animal died.
