One local library will soon give visitors a chance to learn more about the writing process.
The Seymour Library will hold its 2025 Author Expo at the Cayuga Museum’s Carriage House Theater on November 1 from 11:00a-3:00p. This year’s theme is Mystery Loves Company, giving attendees a peek behind the curtain into the world of mystery and romance writing through two panel discussions.
The first panel, Romance Between the Covers, will take place at 11:15a and be moderated by Dan Kopcow, author of Madcap Serenade, Prior Futures, and other works. This will be followed by Murder by the Book at 1:00p. It will be moderated by Stephen G. Eoannou, author of Muscle Cars, After Pearl, Yesteryear, and Rook. Other panelists include: Laurie Gifford Adams, John Avanzato, Shannon Carse, Lori Duffy Foster, David Homick, A.M. Loweecey, Aurora Rey, Shanna Robillard, Gary Earl Ross, and Emily Tudor. For more information on each author, visit the library’s website.
Each panel will be followed by a Q&A session. Authors will also be signing and selling copies of their books.
The event is designed to connect the community with authors while promoting literacy. Funds raised during the event support the library. Tickets for the event can be purchased online in advance or on the day of at the theater. For more information on the event or to purchase tickets, click here.
