The senator for New York’s 48th Senate District was a guest at the White House last month.
State Senator Rachel May joined New York State elected officials and labor leaders for a trip to the White House. She told FLX Morning that it was a chance to learn how the state can benefit from federal legislation.
“It was an invitation from the Biden administration to New York State elected officials and labor leaders and community leaders to come and really learn about what the opportunities there are for New York State from things like the infrastructure bill and some of the other legislation that the Biden administration was able to pass.”
She added that the trip allowed her and her colleagues to better understand how the state and federal government can work together to accomplish their goals.
