May is National Bike Month and to make sure kids are safely cycling, the Cayuga County Health Department is holding a Kids on Wheels Safety Rodeo this Weekend.
Joe Mushock is the Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Coordinator for the Cayuga County Health Department. Speaking with Finger Lakes News Radio, he said those attending the free event will be able to brush up on their bike safety knowledge and learn the rules of the road.
“You can bring your children to that event with a bicycle or a scooter or any other wheel sport, and you can ride the safety course I’ve designed and we will be giving out free helmets,” said Mushock.
The rodeo will run from 10:00a to 12:00p on Saturday at Auburn Fire Department’s Station 1 at 31 Seminary Street, Auburn.
