With the new year underway, the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce will hold its ninth annual Restaurant Week later this month.
Amy Fuller is the chamber’s executive director. Speaking on FLX Morning with Ted Baker, she said that, while the chamber helps facilitate the event, the restaurants themselves decide what deals and specials they’ll offer.
“We create a landing page and we let each restaurant decide which special works best for them. We have some prefixed menus; we have som buy one get ones, and we have some free beverages.”
The chamber created Restaurant Week to provide an economic boost to restaurants which usually see a slump in business during the beginning of the year.
This year’s Restaurant Week runs from January 24 through February 1.
Participating locations will be announced on the Chamber of Commerce’s website and social media. Cayuga County restaurant owners wishing to participate in Restaurant Week should email Fuller at [email protected].
