Report: Three Workers Detained in Ira Raid Plead Guilty to Illegal Reentry to U.S.

Here’s an update on a story from back in September, when federal immigration officials raided Nutrition Bar Confectioners in Ira.

According to the Citizen, three of the 57 factory workers detained have pleaded guilty to illegally reentering the United States. The September 4th raid by Homeland Security Investigations and Border Patrol involved questioning all 230 employees at the facility.

Federal authorities say the investigation into the company’s role in hiring unauthorized workers is still ongoing.
