Registration is now open for United Way of Cayuga County’s Eighth Annual Personal Care Drive.
Organizations can now register to host a box at their site where the public can drop off personal care items such as shampoo, soap, razors, toilet paper, and feminine products. The items will then be collected by United Way and distributed to food pantries, soup kitchens, and homeless shelters throughout the county.
The drive begins on August 7 in conjunction with the nonprofit’s Day of Caring and runs through October 13. To register a box, visit United Way’s website.
If you’d like to donate before the August 7 kick-off, United Way has launched an early drop-off box at its offices at 2 South St, Auburn.
Last year, United Way raised 2,300 personal care items for the community.
