What is happening to the former Key Bank in downtown Auburn?

Muldrow Properties and Fred Straus Inc are looking to turn the 115 Genesee Street property into a multi-purpose facility.

The real estate developers have dubbed the space “The Atrium on Genesee.” They claim the 25,000 sq ft of rentable space will become a vibrant hub for downtown, featuring space for possible bars, coffee shops, office spaces, and more.

“I am extremely excited about the potential for this building. Witnessing the creativity and ingenuity of the Auburn community has inspired us to re-imagine its potential as a central hub for the area. The atrium’s tremendous ceiling heights and glass windows create an expansive space with a view of the center of downtown. We are working with business leaders and community members to develop the space and are looking for tenants to be part of creating a vibrant Atrium on Genesee,” said Steven Straus, CEO of Fred Straus Inc.”

While no date for an official grand opening has been announced, the Atrium is currently searching for tenants.
