Auburn residents will decided Tuesday whether or not to approve an over 100-million dollar budget for its school district.
Superintendent Jeff Pirozzolo says, with this year’s budget, one focus will be preparing kids for jobs in the tech field. Speaking on FLX Morning, he said STEM programs at all the district’s elementary schools will provide kids with the tools needed to obtain jobs in the science and technology fields, especially ones anticipated to come to the area with Micron’s arrival.
Other highlights of the budget include bringing instrument lessons to fourth grade students and improving safety measures for all district schools.
Polls will be open 7:00a-9:00p at Casey Park, Owasco, and Seward Elementary Schools as well as Auburn Junior High.
