New York’s shortest Saint Patrick’s Day Parade returns to Auburn this weekend.
For its fourth year, the parade, hosted by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, runs only 291 ft, starting at the corner of State and Van Anden Streets and finishing at the Hibernians’ clubhouse.
The parade lineup begins at 11:30a with the parade beginning at noon. Denise Sobus, President of the Auburn Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, will be this year’s grand marshall.
Following the parade, there will be food and live music at the clubhouse.
The parade kicks off a week-long celebration for the Hibernians, leading up to Saint Patrick’s Day on March 17. You can learn more about the events planned by the Hibernians by listening to Ed Helinski and Denise Sobus’ interview with Ted Baker on FLX Morning below.
