Nominations are now open for the 2025 Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce awards.
Awards honor member businesses and nonprofits as well as individuals for their contributions to the county. The awards will be presented at the annual chamber luncheon on May 8 at the Springside Inn.
Categories include:
Terri Bridenbecker Young Professional Award: Open to members and nonmembers, the award recognizes a young professional under 40 who is pursuing excellence in their career.
The Business Leader Award recognizes businesses that invest in the county and take an active role in the community.
Small Business of the Year Award (In Business Less than Five Years): recognizes a business that demonstrates entrepreneurship through diversification, creativity, and imagination.
Small Business of the Year Award (In Business Five Years or More): demonstrates the ability to overcome adversities and staying power with a commitment to the community.
The Nonprofit of the Year Award recognizes a nonprofit that contributes to the success of the community through enhancing quality of life or contributing to the economic base of the county.

Additionally, nominations are also open for the Phyllis Goldman Encouragement Award for Women, which recognizes women in the community for their entrepreneurial and professional suits who serve as role models for other women and girls, and the Community Leadership Award, which is open to Leadership Cayuga Alumni.
