Moravia Central School District residents will have four propositions to vote on next week, including a 7.67% budget increase.
Citing the continued need to address both the academic and emotional needs of its students in a post-pandemic world, the district hopes to adopt a nearly 28.7-million dollar budget along with a 1.5% tax levy increase.
Through separate propositions, the district is asking voters to allocate funds to purchase three 66 passenger school buses and to create a capital reserve fund of no more than 2-million dollars to allow site work and renovation.
Voters will also consider increasing the Powers Library’s budget by 15-thousand dollars, to be funded through an increased tax levy.
Two seats on the school board will also be filled when voters head to the polls on the 16th.
