Voters in the Moravia Central School District will soon decide whether or not the district can spend $175,000 to increase its land holdings.
The district wants to purchase eight acres of land at 52 S Main Street between its elementary and junior/senior high schools. While the district hasn’t decided exactly how the land would be used, potential uses have been put forth by the district including providing additional parking space, creating a community trail to connect the schools, and supporting the potential growth of Future Farmers of America programming or athletic facilities.
The vote will take place from 12:00-9:00p on Tuesday at the junior/senior high school’s north side foyer.
