In an effort to improve safety and streamline arrival routines, the Moravia Central School District will change its school day parking and building entry procedures at its Jr/Sr High School later this month.
The superintendent’s office announced that, beginning on Monday, February 23, all staff members will be expected to park in the South Lot. Students and visitors will need to park in the North Lot and enter the school through the main entrance at the front of the building during the school day; however, for on-time arrival, the district still expects students to use the entrance nearest the cafeteria.
Additionally, the South Entrance will be reserved for bus drop-off and pick-up, and staff members using their district-issued badge to enter the building.
By providing a “consistent, supervised point of entry for students and visitors,” the district believes the changes will enhance building security.
