A 21-year-old Port Byron man reported missing in January has been found.
The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office received word Tuesday from Thomas Ivery’s biological mother that her son had recently visited her for several days in Syracuse. She added that her son no longer wanted to live in New York and returned to Ohio.
There is still an active warrant for his violation of probation. Ivery was arrested after pulling out a BB gun at Auburn Junior High in 2023. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child, menacing, and unlawful possession of a weapon on school grounds.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
