An internationally recognized Auburn metal band is returning to the stage in the US.
For the first time in ten years, MANOWAR will play a US show. Celebrating the 40th anniversary of their album Sign of the Hammer, the band is scheduled to play a show at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn next Fall.
Manowar was formed in Auburn in 1980 by Joey Demaio, Ross Friedman (Ross the Boss), and Lou Marullo (Eric Adams), with Donnie Hamzik joining shortly later. DeMaio and Marullo, both of Auburn, are the only two original members with Dave Chedrick and Michael Angelo Batio taking over for Kamzik and Friedman on drums and guitar respectively.
This will be the biggest production we’ve ever done in the U.S.! Our fans here will finally get the power and might that has made MANOWAR the headlining attraction the world over!” said Joey De Maio.
In a press release, the band said that, due to scheduling, this will be its only US show.
Ticket information for the November 30 show can be found on the Kings Theatre’s website.
