A Cayuga County man accused of attacking another with a machete has rejected a plea deal.

According to The Citizen, 39-year old Christopher Laframboise of Brutus rejected the offer Thursday from the District Attorney’s Office to plead guilty to attempted murder for a 15 year prison sentenced followed by five years post-release supervision.

Laframboise was arrested in February for allegedly attempting to kill his victim with the edged weapon at his Pople Road residence in the Town of Victory, severely injuring him.

Laframboise was arrested shortly after during a traffic stop in the Town of Conquest and charged with felony counts of attempted murder and assault.
