Cayuga County’s Healthy Neighborhoods Program is expanding to two more towns.
The state funded program seeks to reduce housing related illnesses and injuries by providing no-cost home assessments and interventions. Cayuga County is one of 18 counties statewide which receives this funding from the New York State Department of Health.
Residents in Conquest and Throop are now eligible for these free evaluations from the county health department and its partners. Other eligible communities include the City of Auburn, the Towns of Mentz and Montezuma, and the Village of Port Byron.
If you’d like to schedule an assessment, you can call 315-253-1560 or go to the health department’s website to find out more.
