A free rabies vaccination clinic will be available to the public on Friday, Nov. 14, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at 41 York St. Auburn, NY. The clinic will be hosted by the Cayuga County Health Department and the Finger Lakes SPCA of Central New York.
Dogs, cats, or ferrets that are at least four months of age are welcome. Dogs must be leashed and muzzled if necessary. Cats and ferrets must be in carriers, with one animal per carrier.
To receive a three-year Rabies Vaccine, proof of prior vaccination must be presented. Rabies tags are not acceptable proof. Ferrets will receive one-year certificates.
While the Cayuga County Health Department has stated that pre-registration is not required to bring animals in for vaccination, it is preferred. For more information and to pre-register, contact the Finger Lakes SPCA at (315)253-5841 or pre-register online.
