A former inmate at the Cayuga Correctional Facility has been convicted of attacking a corrections officer with a weapon.
District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonoacci announced Thursday that Darryl Bradshaw pled guilty to attempted assault after attempting to injure the CO and cut him in the neck with a contraband weapon on October 16, 2022. The officer was among a group of COs taking Bradshaw from his cell when he was attacked.
Bradshaw faces an additional two to four years in prison which, by law, will run consecutively to his current sentence. He will be sentenced on August 10th.
