Two Cayuga County parks are inviting you to participate in this year’s I Love My Park Day.
Taking place on May 4, I Love My Park Day is a day where volunteers from across the state work to beautify their favorite parks.
In the north of the county, Fair Haven Beach State Park is asking volunteers to help with beach and site clean up as well as planting near the beach area. Volunteers are asked to meet at Sabin Hall and bring gloves, rakes, and shovels.
The event will run from 9:00a-12:00p. To register as a volunteer at Fair Haven, click here.
Heading South to Moravia, volunteers at Fillmore Glen can help with trail maintenance, invasive species removal, spreading playground mulch, and sprucing up the park’s flower beds. Volunteers are asked to meet at the park’s main pavilion and to bring work/gardening gloves and a water bottle.
Fillmore Glen’s event runs from 9:00a-1:00p. To register as a volunteer at Fillmore Glen, click here.
