The date is set for Auburn and Cayuga County residents to learn where things stand in the city and county.
The Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual State of the City and County on March 21 at Auburn Public Theater. Speaking with Finger Lakes News Radio, Amy Fuller, Executive Director of the Chamber, explained that Auburn Mayor Jimmy Giannettino and City Manager Jeff Dygert will each spend roughly 20 minutes discussing how the city fared in 2023 and what plans are in the works for 2024.
Following Giannettino and Dygert, Cayuga County Legislature Chair Aileen McNabb-Coleman will do the same for the county. Fuller added that McNabb-Coleman is expected to be joined by another county official.
Following the presentations, attendees will have a chance to ask questions. Fuller said it’s a great opportunity to learn what’s in store for Auburn and Cayuga County.
“It’s good to get a sense of what’s happening and what to expect,” Fuller said. “It gives you an opportunity to hear it first hand, so to speak, and if you have some questions on how it’s going to work or what is it, where is it going to be, all that stuff, it’s your opportunity to ask that question.”
The event will run from 8:00-9:30a with breakfast refreshments provided by Cafe 108.
Registration is required and costs $20.00 for members and $25.00 for nonmembers. Registration information can be found on the chamber’s website.
