A Cayuga County man will spend the next four years in state prison for contacting two underage teens and requesting they send him nude photos.
In May, authorities in Florida contacted the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Department after Kevin VanNorstrand had been communicating with an undercover agent posing as a 14-year-old. That investigation led to police discovering VanNorstrand was also talking with someone he thought was a 13-year-old and made sexual requests.
The 38-year-old Conquest man was also convicted of possessing child pornography after an analysis of his electronic devices was conducted by the State Police Crime Lab.
VanNorstrand was sentenced to six months in jail and ten years of probation in 2022 for promoting a sexual performance by a child under the age of 17.
