    Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    There will be several periods of stronger winds, with this afternoon seeing strong southerly winds, then a break this evening, before stronger west wind develop tonight into Saturday.

Conquest Fire Victim ID’d, Investigation Continues

Authorities have released the name of the man killed Tuesday in an early morning house fire in Cayuga County.

Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck reports 89-year-old Ralph “Keene” Christopher was found dead in the living room area of the home at 281 East Lake Road in the Town of Conquest.

A preliminary investigation by the sheriff’s office revealed the fire started in the living room around 8:30a. While the sheriff said that nothing appears suspicious at present, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene of the fire by the New York State Police, New York State Fire Cayuga County 911, Conquest Fire Department, Cato Fire Department, CIMVAC, Victory Fire Department, Port Byron Fire Department, South Butler Fire Department, Savannah Fire Department, Oswego Fire Department, Cayuga County Coroner’s Office, and the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office.
