Community Meeting Seeks to Improve Public/Law Enforcement Relations

SHARE NOW

An upcoming community event will seek to enhance the relationship between local law enforcement and the public.

In conjunction with the Harriet Tubman Center for Justice & Peace, Auburn Police Chief James Slayton, Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck, and Cayuga County District Attorney Brittany Grome-Antonacci will present at the Booker T Washington Center on Wednesday beginning at 6:00p. Following presentations, there will be time for a Q&A session and community discussion.

The event is free and open to the public. Lite refreshments will be provided.

As part of the larger Connecting Bridges initiative, these groups are working to “foster a better understanding of local law enforcement and ensure that the community’s concerns are heard and addressed with strategic solutions and new initiatives reported back to the community.”
